Sophie Gray: The Gray behind the way.

Sophie Gray: The Gray behind the way.

Recognize that smile? You may have seen Sophie on social media promoting the idea of becoming your own best friend.

We teamed up with Sophie to create a Mala that helps promote what both of our brands stand for: Self Love and connecting with the soul. The Love Yourself collection  helps you connect with nature and the pieces help calm the nervous system. Through the power of self love and connecting with soul, we want you to be the truest version of yourself.

We had a short interview with Sophie to get to know her a little bit better. Here is the Gray behind the way.

What does a typical day look like for you? I wake up each morning around 7:30, hop in the shower, head downstairs for breakfast, journal, meditate then I finally look at my phone and start my day. It is super important for me to check in with myself before checking in with the world of social media!
In your busy life, how do you take time for yourself?I feel like I go through phases of things - but the one thing that has stuck longer than any other, is journaling. Allowing myself that opportunity to connect with myself really helps me. I view it as having a good conversation with an old friend - but I do that twice a day, with myself!
How do you use gemstones in your daily life and what benefits have you found you have gotten from them?I have crystals all over my house - and even buried outside! I feel like they’re beautiful reminders for whatever they are intended to bring. I also love wearing my Mala & Me pieces because they act as protection for me from others energy - something that’s really important to me!
Favorite thing to do on a Friday night?Netflix and my own couch with my man and my puppies. Turning up isn’t something I do!
What does a Mala represent to you? It’s a beautiful reminder that I’m not alone in life and I have something greater than me watching out for me.
Favorite meal? Why?I seriously just love all food. My fav place in the city is 19 and they have a beef short rib that is incredible. I’m not sure if I was supposed to say salad or something but oh well! Haha.
If you had to pick a spirit animal, what would it be and why?  It would be my @puppykingrio - he’s a weird, super curious, kinda has a temper but is actually a huge softy… I feel like that describes me perfectly.
What is your philosophy towards your work?Balance. It’s hard, but I NEED balance. I need to stop working right at 5:30 so that I have a good amount of time to wind down. I love what I do but I also love myself and even though it doesn’t feel like work, it does stress me out. I need to balance my workaholic side and the side that needs more nurturing.
What do you do in your down time?To be honest, I am in the look out for a new hobby. Right now it’s spending time with my puppies and my man, seriously nothing better!

Favorite place to travel? Why? Am I weird for saying I don’t love traveling? I love consistency and I love my home - homebody for us! Of course I love going to the mountains occasionally, but I love Edmonton!
